 Year
7 students at Santa Maria College study one semester of Italian
and one semester of Japanese. Classes in year 7 cover not only
basic language skills, but also the geography, history and culture
of both Italy and Japan.
In Years 8, 9 and 10, students select either
Italian or Japanese as their LOTE for the whole year. With
each year level, the complexity of the language skills taught
increases.
Students can also select Italian or Japanese in
VCE. Both have been popular choices over recent years, and in 2006
one of our Year 12 students received a perfect VCE Study Score of
50 in Italian. |
