Principal's Message

Santa Maria College is a secondary school moving forward with confidence. We cultivate independent, Christ-centered young women who can find their place in the modern world. We seek to pass on a culture of hope so that the girls in our care will say “yes” to life and its many opportunities.

At Santa Maria College we have a curriculum promoting self-awareness, positive self-talk, confidence-building, motivation, communication and relationship skills. Our curriculum enhances creative problem-solving, career planning, conflict management and information technology skills. Our curriculum emphasises “learning to learn,” and includes critical thinking, leadership skills and teamwork. Most importantly, Santa Maria College is spiritually grounded in a Catholic ethos and this spiritual foundation is integral to every aspect of learning.  

In our Good Samaritan tradition there is a focus on service and giving to others. Social Justice is given prominence and we promote the development of cultural understanding.
